ThryvPay Mobile App Settings

From the Home tab click on the Settings 3-line icon located on the Activity tab in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
This will bring up all your ThryvPay Settings.

Payment Settings

Enable your payment settings including accepting credit card payments, setting CC limits, accepting ACH and Plaid payments, allowing tips, and adding convenience fees to help offset some of your credit card processing fees.

If you make a change be sure to click Save.

Credit Card

Do you want to accept credit card payments? enable
Do you want to limit the transaction size or amount you will accept via credit card? For instance, if you don't want to accept credit card payments over $5000 because of the large processing fees, you would set the limit at $5000. All payments made for transactions over $5000 would be restricted to your other payment methods.

ACH Payments

Do you want to accept ACH (e-check) payments? ACH is an electronic check payment generated online from your customers bank to yours.
Accept ACH check processing payments with Plaid ACH check fund verification? Plaid is a safe and secure way to validate your customer's banking account information and funds availability, ensuring there is money in the account at the time of the transaction. Your customers will have the option to pay with plaid and will be directed to log into their bank via the secured Plaid application upon receiving your payment request.

Convenience Fees

Set your convenience fee based on your average transaction size. This is a set flat fee, but we recommend you keep it generally below what your processing fees would cost for that average transaction size. This fee will only be applied if the customer chooses to pay with a credit or debit card at the time of the transaction.
*Convenience fees only apply to debit and credit card transactions. All convenience fees will be clearly displayed on the invoice at the time of purchase. Customers who choose to pay with a credit card will be charged the fee otherwise switching payment methods lets them avoid the fee.
*Tips and convenience fees will appear on the same transaction and receipt as the original payment. Tips and convenience fees only appear/are allowed when sending a payment request or QR code to a consumer who completes the payment. They do not apply if you as a business owner are charging the consumers card on their behalf.

Tips

Enabling tips, allows your customers to add a tip for you at the time they are paying for the transaction. *Tips and convenience fees will appear on the same transaction and receipt as the original payment. Tips and convenience fees only appear/are allowed when sending a payment request or QR code to a consumer who completes the payment. They do not apply if you as a business owner are charging the consumers card on their behalf.
Your payment request will display tip options for your customer to choose from. Set your tip amounts here.

Notification Settings

Enable notifications then determine which notifications you would like to receive and if you prefer an email or push notifications or both. NOTE: Push notifications Coming Soon!

Report Settings

Enable to export your monthly transactions reports or your monthly deposit reports.

Upload Documents Settings

There are times where we may require additional information in order to approve your application or to request details about a transaction or a dispute that has come in. You can safely and securely upload the documentation here.

Simply click on the documentation type and submit.

Bank Account Settings

We must have a bank account connected in order to pay you your revenue. To change your bank account, click change, and enter the 2-factor 4-digit code we sent you, then update your banking information.

Change Password Settings

To change your log in password to the ThryvPay App (this will also change your password for the Thryv software if you also have a Thryv Package.

Create your ThryvPay Mobile Account

If you are new to Thryv or have not set up an account yet, click Get Started .

Enter your email, first and last name and create a password.
A two-factor 4-digit verification code will be sent to this email verifying your account
Key in the 4-digit code, an d click Verify & Continue

Click “Allow” to ensure you receive push notifications regarding your payments, deposits, and disputes.

Your account is now created but you will be unable to transact until you complete the application process.

Schedule a Payment

Payment Request via QR Code

You can choose to use the QR code by simply turning your phone around, have the customer use their camera on their phone to scan the QR code, they will be directed to enter in their cardholder details.

QR codes require the use of the consumer's camera app, or a QR code reader, or for Android a Google lens to view the payment request. It is best used when there is proper Wi-Fi access and or telephone service.
Consumers mobile phones should have updated software IOS 11 or higher or Android 9 or higher.

Send Payment Request via Email

You can also send the payment request via email by simply entering your customers email address and clicking the send payment request button.

Your customer will be directed to enter the payment details.

Send Payment Request via SMS/Text

You can also send the payment request via a Mobile SMS text message. Simply enter the customers mobile phone number and click send a payment request.

Your customer will receive a text message which directs them to enter their payment details.

Schedule a Payment

If you wish to schedule the payment for later, or set up recurring, installment, or custom payment terms, click the Calendar icon in the top right corner of the app.

Once on the Scheduled Payment screen, you will be directed to choose the type of scheduled payment you would like to create.

One time – scheduling a one-time payment for some time in the future.
One-time payment: simply select the date you want the payment to complete.
Recurring – The same payment amount over an extended period.
Recurring payments: select the frequency (daily, monthly, weekly etc.), the occurrence timing and the start date.
Installment – breaking the overall payment amount into smaller payment installments, i.e., deposits.
Custom – any custom payment and timing.

The scheduled payment parameters that you selected will appear in your customer's payment request. Approval is deemed when they pay the request.

Congratulations, your payment request has been sent to the customer, the details provided are:

Sender information (email or phone etc).
Payment request date.
Amount of payment requested.
Payment Request ID #.
Scheduled payment terms being authorized.

Other Payment Methods

By selecting the tri-dots in the top right hand corner of any payment request, you can choose additional payment options.

Charge Now
Key the customer's credit card or ACH account number details directly.
Offline Payment
Record a payment that was not taken via ThryvPay, like cash or check for accounting purposes, and reporting only.
Share via Native App funcitonality
Send to a contact, airdrop, mail, Facebook etc.

Create a Detailed Payment Request (with services)

Create a Quick Payment Request

The simplest payment request is via Quick Pay with a single Product/Service or an aggregated amount not displayed as individual items (enter a single payment request amount and description only).

From the New Payment tab (center tab).
Key in the final payment or item/service amount you wish to charge including any taxes associated.
Add a product or service description (we recommend always adding this to ensure your customers know what they are paying for and to help with any future disputes that may come in).
Click create payment request .

Create a Detailed Payment Request (with services)

Using the detailed services, saved in the product service section, select the number of services to include in the payment request.

From the New Payment tab (center).

Select the products/services list (1,2,3 list icon) from the top right corner on the New Payment tab.

Create Product

If you don’t have any services/products displayed, you can create a new Product in the ThryvPay App.

Add a new service by clicking the + in the top right corner of the My Services page.
Add a Service Name.
Add a Price.
Add Tax if applicable.
Click Add Service to save it.

IF you already have services/products displayed simply select the products/services you want to send via a payment request. You can choose more than one.

Simply click the blue + button next to the service you want to add to the payment request, once you have selected everything, click the Complete Payment Request.

ThryvPay Mobile App Home Screen

From the Home tab in the bottom left-hand corner, you will see your latest activity. This will include the last 20 payment requests, all sent requests, and all payments received. It will also display the last 7 days’ worth of transactions in a bar chart on the top of the screen.

The activity tab filters your transaction data. The Activity tab is in the bottom right-hand corner of the app and displays the following tabs:

Upcoming Scheduled payments
Paid transactions

Paid Transaction Details

Paid transactions will display the following information in the ThryvPay App.
Customer details, transaction amount, transaction fee, deposit amount, convenience fee, tip, paid on date, created on date, payment method.

ThryvPay Notification Center

The ThryvPay notifications can be found by clicking on the Bell icon along the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Congratulations, you are provisionally approved!
During this initial period, transactions processed will experience a delay in depositing to your bank account. Instead of next-day funding, funds will be sent to your bank 5 business days after the transaction clears. This is a standard process for all new customers to a new payment processing service. It protects your business and ThryvPay. During this time, your account is limited to processing credit cards only. The fastest way to expedite the final approval process is to begin using ThryvPay to process your everyday business transactions. Once we finish the approval process, transactions made will fund the next business day and your account will be able to accept ACH payments.

Deposit

Please go to Settings and update your bank account information so that we can deposit your funds.

Dispute

Oh no, you have a new dispute

Please gather all pertinent details (customer information, invoice details, payment details, customer history, or communication) regarding this purchase if you wish to challenge the dispute. The bank has issued a refund to the customer. Please send all the transaction information to ThryvPay Support at Thryvpayapp@thryv.com and we’ll gladly help submit on your behalf.

Dispute Lost

Oh no, you have either accepted the dispute or the customer’s bank has decided in favor of your customer.
If you would like additional details, please contact ThryvPay Support at Thryvpayapp@thryv.com .

Dispute Won

Congratulations, you have won the initial dispute!
Your customer’s bank has accepted your challenge at this time and your transaction will be reinstated and recharged. This is not a guarantee as the customer may re-challenge the transaction, which will open the dispute again. For more details, please contact ThryvPay Support at Thryvpayapp@thryv.com .

Failed Scheduled Payment

Oh no, it looks like XX’s (name, email or number) payment of $xx.xx failed due to xxxxx (transaction failure code).

Business Information

Owner Details

Connect Bank Account

Let’s activate your ThryvPay Account starting with your business information

Business Information

Click the Account Setup banner or the continue button.

Start filling out your Business details by clicking Start.
Select your business type; Sole Propriator, LLC, Partnership, Corp, Non Profit or Government.

Now let’s search for your business using Google search…

Start typing in your business name or phone number.
Google will display all results related to that entry.
Select your correct location.
If you can’t find your busine ss on Google, you may enter the information manually by clicking the Can’t find link on the bottom of the screen.

Once you have selected your business, verify that all your information is correct.
Click confirm & continue.
Complete the additional questions about your business.
Enter your business’ Legal or Tax Entity name. This is the name you file your business taxes under. If your business is a Sole Prop this is your first and last name.
Enter the year your business started or opened.
Enter your business TaxID number. This is the number you use for filing taxes. If your business is a sole prop, this is your Social Security Number.
Enter your average transaction amount, this is the average amount of all of your services/payments, if you occasionally have larger transactions, enter the larger amount.
Enter your Annual transaction volume assumption.
Click continue.

Choose your industry type – this is the industry associated to your banking category MCC code.
If you don’t see an exact match you can search additional industries by clicking the “can’t find” link at the bottom of the screen.
Start typing in your category name, if still not found you may be considered either professional or personal services.

Awesome, your business details are now complete.

Owner Details

Click on the Ownership details section.
You will need to complete all the questions to submit your application.
How many partners/owners own more than 25% of your business, click continue.
Business title.
Owner First and last name.
Owner Social Security Number.
Owner Date of Birth.
Owner Driver’s license # and State.
Ownership percent for that owner being listed.
Owner Email.
Owner Phone number.
Owner Address, city, state, and zip.
Click done!

Connect Bank Account Via Plaid

Lastly, let’s connect your bank account via Plaid. For more information on Plaid click here .

Click Connect Bank and then click Continue.
Search for your bank by name, and click on the correct one.
Log in using your bank log in username and password.
Select the business bank account you want to link to, click submit.

Finally, Complete the account set up and read and accept the ThryvPay Terms and Conditions.

You will be required to upload an image of your Driver’s License prior to completing your application.

Congratulations! You are now provisionally approved.

What does provisionally approved mean?

Accounts may be provisionally approved based on the information provided in the application process.
Accounts that have been provisionally approved will be required to provide an image of a driver’s license, as well as an image of bank statement or other credit documentation prior to getting full approval.
During this initial period, transactions processed will experience a delay in depositing to your bank account. Instead of next day funding, funds will be sent to your bank 5 business days after the transaction clears. This is a standard process for all new merchants to a new payment processing service. It protects your business, and ThryvPay.
ACH e-check payments will be restricted during this time but will be allowed after the provisional 5 business day funding delay.
